BOOK PROPOSAL

110 YEARS
POSITIVELY ON MY OWN

Projects such as this do not present themselves often. There are countless thousands of noteworthy, brave and truly interesting people whose stories would be of enormous interest to the general public.

When performing the necessary and critical decision making process to determine if a book is worthwhile investing one's time, energy and resources, one must consider the most important aspect of said book, profitability. We have in our archives, the most unbelievable documented evidence of Walter Casey Jones life and media celebrity status. His life is far more than a book, this is a project that will blossom into a franchise. Not only is his long life fascinating and prodigious knowledge profound and thought-provoking, the story of how Mr. Tennyson met and propelled Jones from celebrity to stardom after appearing on Johnny Carson is equally as entertaining and unbelievable in it's own right.

We have developed a very thorough and well constructed book proposal for a top literary agent to see the amazing potential this project has to offer. Below is an abbreviated version of the complete proposal intended to provide enough preliminary information to understand the potential enterprise possible through this project.

CONCEPT STATEMENT

True stories touted as unbelievable stimulate strong curiosity.  Although rare, when they surface, such books are exciting to promote because unbelievability injects readers with tremendous anticipation.  The historical biography, Oldest Independent Man, 110 Years of Walter Casey Jones offers an unprecedented literary journey.  Crafted from Philip Tennyson’s recordings made during several months of interviewing the super-centenarian when he was 109, Oldest Independent Man is filled with vivid recollections that track the life-journey of an extraordinary human specimen.  Jones spent his final years promoting his unique gospel of longevity to grateful American audiences.  There is so much to learn from his reminiscences and great entertainment as well.

Jones gained worldwide recognition at the end of his life as the only American man ever to survive independently to super-centenarian status, (age 110).  His historic achievements were made more unbelievable, because his centenarian years were burdened by his grueling vagabond lifestyle.  During the last seven years of his life, the old fellow traipsed solo, throughout the USA, promoting himself by day and dry-camping in his aged RV at night.  His biography deserves a prominent spot on every reference shelf in every American library.  Readers of all stripes will warmly embrace the adventures of Walter Casey Jones because his unique approach to life is guaranteed to fortify their belief in the triumph of the human spirit.
